Week 7 and the constant pursuit of wellbeing in every aspect

  Week 7 has been a profound exploration of maintaining equilibrium amidst the whirlwind of life’s commitments and the pursuit of holistic well-being. As the weeks unfold, I’ve tried to strike a balance in my endeavors, with a renewed focus on self-care and nurturing my overall wellness. Central to this journey has been a pivotal lesson in the art of rest. I’ve come to realize the immense impact that honoring my body’s need for proper rest has on my physical and mental well-being. Neglecting this fundamental aspect of self-care has led to a cascade of effects, from cold sores to colds, allergies, and pervasive body aches. At 35, I find myself increasingly attuned to the necessity of prioritizing self-care as a cornerstone of a fulfilling life. WEEk 5: Beat updates and thoughts on Ch. 8

  Women’s wellness can be a journey of highs and lows, especially during that time of the month when hormonal changes can throw off even the most disciplined eating habits. Personally, I find it nearly impossible to resist cravings during this time, and tonight was no exception. I indulged in a binge of ice cream, only to feel regret later. Along with cravings comes the dreaded feeling of laziness, making it even harder to stick to my Pilates routine. However, part of wellness is knowing when to rest, and one sure sign for me is the appearance of a cold sore. It’s like my body’s way of saying “enough,” signaling that I’ve pushed myself too hard and need to prioritize rest. In today’s busy world, finding time to rest can be challenging, but it’s essential for our overall well-being.  Even when not on my time of the month, I am one of those that need my full eight hours to function properly, so now I would love to lounge in bed for a full twelve.  In honor of rest I’ve incl...
